Flies and salmometer

You will find, if below, flies suggestions for your salmon fishing trip.

However, we always recommend that you check with your guide or specialist for the best fly for your situation.

wet fly

The wet fly is more often used during heavy rains or when water is higher (in the spring). However, it can still be chosen when your dry fly has not worked.

dry fly

The dry fly is used when the water is clear and calm. The important thing is that salmon can see the fly.

salmometer

If graciation, we advise you to follow these three steps.

  1. Keeping the salmon underwater, quickly identify its size
  2. To get an accurate measurement, measure from the nose to the fork of the caudal fin
  3. After releasing it, determine its weight using the salmometer below
